It runs on 12V DC and is portable which is important for my boat. Despite having many blades, it is not particularly well balanced and rattles. Very noisy but it would be nice if it was balanced. I bought a fan so I don't have to use an inverter to run my 120v fan which is a silent fan. The aim is to reduce the consumption of my batteries by eliminating the inverter. I did an ammeter reading with an inverter powered by a 120V fan and an ammeter reading with a 12V fan powered directly from the batteries. Interestingly, about 2.9A DC was fed to the inverter and about 3A to the direct 12V DC fan. The Mo gain goes from a 120V fan to a noisy vibrating DC fan.
