Built a factory portable radio for work. With some 100 watt Sony speakers connected with quick disconnect banana plugs and some tweaking (see pics) this works as my home theater and work radio and it travels very well. Don't worry about it getting "hot" or those tiny sparks people have mentioned, this literally happens with all types of electronics every time you turn them on, you just notice it more because of the small round plug. It stops within a millisecond. I've been using this 8 hours a day and it only gets hot up to a certain point, the heatsinks on the two circuit boards inside drive it from that maximum. This outperforms my $200 home receiver with the same speakers as pictured and both rated 100 watts channel output.
