I've had the same stylish dual view case for my old Samsung Tab 7.0 Plus for over two years with no problems and full protection for my tablet. I knew exactly what I was getting when I ordered it for my 2013 Google Nexus 7. The workmanship of rooCase has actually improved over the years. This cover has no seams. Yes it is PU leather but in my experience with the latest rooCase it has held up very well. It creates a chemical odor when absorbed by faux leather and binders. This smell goes away after about a week. I recommend removing the case from the packaging to air out the scent before use. rooCase really needs to air out those boxes before packing them in the factory, but everyone knows time is money. Another thing I really like about the new version of this case is the light gray color on the inside. My old rooCase had a black interior showing all the little fluff. In this case this is not a problem. The multiple viewing angles for landscape and portrait mode really work. Reviews of other cases seem to have trouble holding their position or crashing in portrait mode. Magnetic clasps work great when using the tablet's auto wake/sleep feature and keeping the lid closed. Another advantage of this dual-view case is that it can be separated from the outer case, keeping the phone case-like interior and reducing the thickness. and is comfortable to hold thanks to the soft fabric backing. This case covers a larger bezel than other snap-on cases, some of which are actually flush with the screen. I'm more comfortable with the pocket size of this case knowing that if your tablet slips in your hand and the screen hits the ground first, the screen will be better protected from bumps.
