Markers at low prices!

I just got my paint can, made my paint chart and showed it to a friend! Let's be clear that these are markers and NOT gel pens. The pins are arranged in colored groups. Each pen has a snap-on cap, meaning there will be a sound letting you know the pen is fully closed. For me that's a good idea. The cylinder is flimsy, but I think it's a good idea to be careful with it when resealing. The pens are water based, make sure you don't use them on the same spot over and over again. If you are layering colors, be sure to let the first color dry. I personally think layering will cause problems with your pages. Page curl and even resolution on thin pages. I didn't have any bleeding, but that can happen depending on the quality of the paper. Caps don't always match the color perfectly, but I've never seen a set of color-coded markers, gel pens, or crayons that match perfectly. Trust me I have so many pencils, pens, markers and other mediums that I use in my coloring pages and there is no such thing as perfection! I am returning the Staedtler fineliner pen set and replacing that $26 set of 42 markers with this $15 set of 60 fineliner pens. Positive Art pens are smooth and leave no marks like the Staedtler set. I was impressed with the box and bowls that contained Positive Art pens, the bowls hold 20 pens each and there are only 3 bowls. Each tray has finger rests on either side for easy lifting. Although the handles don't snap into the trays, they stay in place when you lift them. The jar itself opens easily and stays closed when turned upside down. The handles also stay in place. I'm impressed with the color. Unlike the other reviewers, I found a great red and many other great shades. I could go on talking about colour, but why waste time? Seriously, I recommend this product to anyone who loves to paint intricate pictures, loves more color options, and likes to save money. I recommend them for older children as the lids can pose a choking hazard and the cases can't handle their "joyful enthusiasm" when coloring. So why only 4 stars? Because there is no rating for 4.5! I deduct half a star for the skinny pants.
