Easy install but if you've hooked up a few consider a side box series instead so you have more room to cram all your 12/3 wires in there. Otherwise easy, cut a 4" hole, slip in and you're done. They sit more evenly than old school bulbs and don't get hot. However, I had to change the switches, some of the older switches didn't work well with LEDs, and they switched on low light keeps coming off. As bright as it is, I'll put it this way. I replaced four 3" 50 watt lights with these and don't need any other overhead lighting at all in 15x20 rooms. Generally, I'll update if they screw up too soon. All of those onboard LEDs are good 'til they die. The only negative really.
