Beware of HDMI ONLY Displayport!
does the job. I bought this for my first computer build which is a hackintosh (a homemade computer running Mac OS instead of Apple's prebuilt one is about 3 times more expensive) and wanted to try a dual screen setup for my music station and it works as promised. Switched from displayport (output) to HDMI input, allowing me to use slightly cheaper TVs (via HDMI) instead of dedicated "computer monitors".
