I needed HDMI from my laptop to the display port on my monitor. I was in a stalemate and quickly found this option because Amazon puts their options at the top. I paid extra for same day delivery. This cable (as others describe in their articles) is only for one thing: a Displayport to HDMI. I had never heard of it before and paid the price for it. I write for reinforcement that this cable HDMI to Displayport does not work.

After spending a lot of time with it and it doesn't work at all, I noticed that at the end of the product description it mentions that it is a unidirectional cable (video source, destination, HDMI) . I had to connect with opposite polarity. I had never heard of a unidirectional cable, so didn't even think to check it out. It should be MUCH clearer - visible in the element's name, for example.
