I was skeptical about buying this but everyone in the stores wanted at least $125 to give me the REAL value, NO GENERAL explanation of the code on my CHECK ENGINE LIGHT bulb on my 2011 Freightliner Cascadia. Well I got it with the right connectors and a nice case for the device. I plugged it in and followed the simple instructions and I got an explanation, not generic code. This thing really amazed me. It gives actual engine temperature, RPM, and any other actual readings that you can compare to your gauges. I can say that I actually got it for free. It costs less to buy than hooking it up in a store. I have a DD_15 Detroit engine. There is also information about ABS. It shows you all active codes and inactive codes. THIS IS NOT TALKING. Now it's so nice to know that when I get the check engine light I can plug in and find out what it is and it doesn't cost a dime to find out why it's on. You can also clear the code and turn off the light. I think EVERY OWNER should do this to avoid getting robbed by a business that knows you have no choice but to leave it to them. NO LONGER. You will be surprised by all the information you get from it.
