Inconvenient cable design

I originally bought this model because of its price and I want to be aware of how it is laid out before I buy it. But it wasn't until I bought another adapter for another camera that I realized how awkward it is to connect the adapter block to the battery adapter. With this product, the connection of the AC adapter to the battery tray is flush with the battery housing that goes into the camera, so you basically need to take the AC adapter with you if you ever need to reposition the camera. . Sounds normal at first, doesn't it? Well, until I experienced the convenience of another type of adapter, I realized the downsides. With some adapters, a short male/female cable comes out of the camera, which then goes to the power supply. If you're laying cables and someone trips over them, the force breaks the male/female connection and prevents your camera from being dragged along with the cable. Also, if you need to move the camera and change outlets, at least with other adapters, you can detach the camera and carry it separately by simply hanging a small lanyard on the end, while with this adapter, you don't open the adapter. Battery case and remove the battery case adapter, you will be plugged into the 3 pin plug of the power cord which means you pretty much have to pack everything up when you switch to a different outlet. sounds a bit fussy or overdone, but I think my hands are too often busy lugging around a whole bunch of cables and connectors along with a bunch of other attachments already attached to my camera. Sure, if it was just the camera and adapter it's no big deal, but if you have a complete setup with lights, a monitor and a mic, a simple separation to transport the camera setup would make sense to me in the first place make. It's also worth noting that at times it doesn't seem like the battery will latch, even with the spring-loaded latch holding it to the camera. Small details that add up at the worst moment, I think.

Pros
  • Fits me
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

It never powered my camera on, even though it said it would work on my camera model
