Submission: I wanted to upgrade the memory in an old 2008 iMac from 2GB to 4GB. Packaging: The storage came in a small plastic clamshell that was easy to open and access. The Fit: This storage was exactly what I was looking for. I inherited an old 2008 iMac (one of the first aluminum versions) and before I gave it to a family member I wanted to (cheaply) double the storage capacity. As mentioned, the first set of SoDimms I received had a faulty module (which prevented the iMac from starting). But the replacement kit Revain sent worked like magic. Good traits: cheaper, more workable (after the first bad set) RAM for an old computer. one of them. But for me it knocks it down from 5 to 4 stars. Ugliness: There is nothing ugly here. Just bad luck. Verdict: For $17 (at the time of this review), this is a great way to upgrade an old iMac (or laptop). Even though I didn't have any luck with the first set, I will definitely buy it again.
