These are some of the best biodegradable cleaning products I've come across. They work almost as well as traditional scrubbers, both in terms of the sponge and the scrubbing surface. The sponge holds a decent amount of water and the scrub is quite thick and durable. The cleaning power isn't as good as a regular mop, but it comes pretty close and can handle all but the most stubborn messes. a fair amount of use. While they don't last as long as regular cleaners, the expiration date is pretty close. However, I don't care how they are packaged. The box is made of thin, plain cardboard that can be recycled. But the sponges inside are wrapped in plastic wrap. I assume this keeps sponges from drying out and hardening. But since a hardened sponge can be easily "revived" with water, I don't see the need for cling film. This certainly defeats the purpose of having a degradable, compostable item. One star off for the plastic wrap, but other than that it's a high quality, biodegradable/compostable alternative to traditional cleaning products.
