No problems with a reliable connection to the 2.4GHz network. Connectivity is rarely an issue. There was a bit of work to do with the installation, but there hasn't been a single bug since it was finished. If Alexa gets out of control for some reason, opening the app works just fine. The remote works as a spare but I haven't used it more than twice in the 5 weeks we've had it. The DC motor and 6 speeds are fantastic. You can't hear it until you get to settings 5 and 6. The app also sends firmware updates. Only local controls are missing but I contacted the company and they said it is possible. You only need to register to access the API. I don't know why people have problems. They may not have updated their network gear or firmware, but I wouldn't turn that down for the price and features.
