Review on POWERTEC 13104X Blade 2 Inch 8 Inch: Premium Cutting Tool for Precision and Efficiency by Josh Chenier

Blades are a good price. These are carbon steel blades

blades at a good price. These are carbon steel blades and are short (compared to a 14" saw blade which is 93-1/2" long) so the blade doesn't have many teeth so each tooth cuts more than a longer blade. therefore they cannot be expected to last as long as longer blades. They have decent welds, but they don't remove weld slag from the mold between the teeth so the next tooth can't do what it's supposed to do (I welded band saws to order for an industrial tool dealer a few years ago, so one thing I know is this are band saws), but the tooth spacing is good, showing that the blade tooth spacing is constant in the weld. These saw blades will fit any 9" saw that uses a 59-1/2" blade, regardless of the saw manufacturer. Some useful information for those who don't know. rule of thumb. the material must always have at least 3 teeth in the material. So that tells you how many teeth the blade needs to cut various thicknesses of wood (or metal, plastic, whatever) so a 6 tooth blade won't work as well as 14 teeth in 1/4" wood. Another thing I learned is that just because Bosche, Ryobi, or other big names put their name on a product, it doesn't mean it's as high quality as one might expect based on the name (products) than I have on the products mentioned.

Pros
  • QUALITY: Band saw blade is made of high quality carbon steel with heat resistance and welded seam
