This is an excellent blade. Excellent quality. So far I've cut a variety of woods - 3/4" Ebony, 1" Purple Heart, 7/8" Black Palm, 3/4" Bocote - and this blade has cut through them all with extreme ease, oil. These are carbon steel blades and are short (compared to a 14" saw blade which is 93-1/2" long) so the blade doesn't have many teeth so each tooth cuts more than a longer blade. therefore they cannot be expected to last as long as longer blades.
