Much better than the bimetal skill blades I've used.

I used this blade on a 59 1/2 inch band saw to cut aluminum bar. I used to use the 3 pack blades ability, that's all I knew beforehand. After breaking a saw blade in the middle of a job and realizing the next day that it was the only bimetal blade I could get at the right pitch, I ordered it. I had no idea what I was missing! This blade cuts MUCH better than the Bi-Metal Skill blades. It's a lot thicker and stiffer, but cuts through my 1.5" x 3" aluminum rod about 3x faster without clogging my…

Dull blades are dangerous.

I finally ripped the tape on my saw and installed this saw blade. I wanted to try this brand to see how good the Powertec blades compare to the brand I use. Big disappointment. I've been cutting thin (1/8 inch) hardwoods and immediately found that I had to use more force to make the cut. The blade is blunt right out of the box. Yes it was sharp, but the force required to cut thin wood is a good indicator of sharpness. Blunt tools cause more accidents than sharp tools due to the operator using…

This solved the problem

After cursing the bandsaw for a time, a time longer than I care to admit, I finally have to admit the lack of knowledge that held it back. After learning everything there was to know about setting up a band saw and making all the necessary adjustments, I still found myself chopping with a saw. (No pun intended.) All I had to do to determine whether or not this saw would stand out in this business was swap out the blade. Saw setup is one thing. Blade related information is different. Do not give

Excellent - cuts through tough woods with ease

This is an excellent blade. Excellent quality. So far I've cut a variety of woods - 3/4" Ebony, 1" Purple Heart, 7/8" Black Palm, 3/4" Bocote - and this blade has cut through them all with extreme ease, oil. I've also chopped softer woods like walnut, maple, cedar, monkey pod, mango and it does a great job with them too. I definitely recommend this product based on my experience. Update: I originally installed it on February 25th, it's now June 18th and I felt it was time to replace the dull…

Blades are a good price. These are carbon steel blades

blades at a good price. These are carbon steel blades and are short (compared to a 14" saw blade which is 93-1/2" long) so the blade doesn't have many teeth so each tooth cuts more than a longer blade. therefore they cannot be expected to last as long as longer blades. They have decent welds, but they don't remove weld slag from the mold between the teeth so the next tooth can't do what it's supposed to do (I welded band saws to order for an industrial tool dealer a few years ago, so one thing…
