I'm DIsappointed But You Might Like It

I had a leather cover for Moleskine Cahier pocket notebooks that I really liked. Possibly too much. It was made by OleksynPrannyk and I bought it here on ebay. It held the notebook, looked really nice and fit easily into the back pocket of my jeans. Unfortunately it went missing. Having given up on seeing it again I looked through ebay's offerings and found this "Leather Journal Cover for Field Notes" that also holds a pen, a couple business cards and a few bucks. After not thinking it quite the whole way through, I ordered. The quality seems OK but nothing outstanding. The leather looks suspiciously uniform. I'm accustomed to seeing some marks, at least on top grain leather, where the cow had an encounter with a barbed wire fence or some other sharp object.Where I fell out of love was with a Space Pen in the holder, a couple business cards in the slot and a Cahier on the other side it sure looked thick - and wide. If I worked at it I could barely get it in my jeans. That's when I realized problem number 2. Sitting on a solid brass pen, even a short one, isn't gonna' work at all. Hard on the seats in my cars, on my leather recliner and most importantly my butt.So someone will be gifted a very slightly used leather journal cover. I must know somebody that doesn't put their Cahier in their back pocket. Maybe someone who carries a purse. If you're a person like that you might like it. For me, I just paid Mr OleksynPrannyk another $30 for a replacement. The includes having my initials "engraved" although that didn't help it find its way home the last time. The Space Pen will go back into a front pocket where God meant it to be.
