Wow, just wow, very well built and rock solid. Large handles on both sides for easy dressing. Place a 4lb Pentax K-3 with battery and a 120mm arc swiss plate (so I can center the lens vertically) on the 200mm carriage all the way down at 45 degrees and it moved not even if some downward pressure was applied (as you might accidentally do while adjusting the camera). Was $10 cheaper than the one I returned which might have had a little smoother ball but wouldn't hold the rig at all if it wasn't level and would fall over even if hit a little. I'm sure the smoothness will be of little use, and I'd rather have a firm grip than a smoother and more disruptive motion when touched. The rotation was very smooth.
