I bought 3 Tiger Wise routers for the building I work in to use on door stations/reception switches to extend Wi-Fi to make it easier for our new iPads to work in conjunction with the BuildingLink system and provide additional convenience for residents and guests waiting in the residents' lobby. My experience with this product is that it is of very high quality; Part of the reason is that in the three weeks since we started this it hasn't had to be reset, unlike the building across the street where I understand their WiFi router requires various hardware resets and has become the norm. Also, installation was extremely easy; I literally installed the first one in 10 minutes and the other two took about 5 minutes each. Programming was also easy. I usually pride myself on staying up to date with the latest technology available, so I was pleasantly surprised to learn that while configuring it for my work, I also discovered that these routers have an expander feature called WISP mode feature. This means it can capture and extend the signal of an existing router, which I have found extremely useful in my own home, so much so that I bought an extra one at home as the walls are concrete and where my combo modem came from /router (rented from my cable company) I can only get 2-5MB per second in the bedroom, although in the living room where the cable modem/router is actually located you get the full 100MB I subscribed to. As soon as I started using the extension function (WISP mode) I immediately noticed how I managed to go from 25 to 40 MB per second, which is a huge jump, especially and noticeable since both my wife and I surfing the internet a lot late at night in the bedroom. So far I've had them at the front desk for three weeks and I haven't had a single problem. Note: The walls in my house aren't the best conductors for router signals, and I've tried several extension cords before with no success. I have to tell you that the Tiger Wise router solved this problem for me more than I could have imagined; The company should spread this feature further as I will be recommending this product to the building occupants as they wanted. On the other hand, I'd definitely like to thank Allen from Tiger Wise (not affiliated with Revain); He was invaluable and a great help in resolving an issue with one of the routers I bought (which was outside the company's purview) but still managed to arrange a replacement within a few days, starting this project from scratch could start again. Time. Thanks to all.
