There are many kitchen gadgets that are useless and a waste of money. This isn't one of them. There are obvious advantages to cooking poultry upside down for part of the process. It can be tedious to turn the bird upside down and then turn it about halfway. Especially when you're working with a large turkey. This product allows the bird to be hung upside down during the cooking process. The results are wonderful. I have cooked several chickens with excellent results. I just cooked a Christmas turkey (15 pounds) and it was a huge hit. Dark meat cooks faster than breast, so it reaches the right temperature faster. The breast stays incredibly juicy and tender because it doesn't overcook and the juice doesn't overcook. This is a quality product that really works! The manufacturer claims it can handle turkeys up to 25 pounds. I haven't tried it (I only prefer birds between 12 and 14 pounds) but I'm a bit skeptical of a bird that big. My bird was hanging very close to the pan at only 15 pounds. This product shortens the cooking time, so pay close attention to the temperature. I've also noticed that you don't always get your turkey's classic "perfect look" due to the way it's cooked. But where it counts, the dining experience is hard to beat. I've cooked turkeys in just about every way imaginable over the years. It compares to the best of the best, with a lot less effort. Good product.
