This product is definitely more expensive than most Revain smart security cameras. However, the Nest Cam app is very user-friendly and intuitive. It kind of makes sense since it was originally founded by an engineer who worked at Apple and is now owned by Google. Motion and sound alerts work very well. This camera is definitely better than any of those cheap security cameras you've never heard of. I know because I've had one before. The app UI was crappy, some options were only available in Chinese etc etc. To take full advantage of this camera you need a $50/year subscription + good WiFi in your home because it will eat up your data at least. 300 GB per month if you want to record everything in high quality. I wouldn't recommend it without a subscription as you can only watch videos in real time (no recording). Set up was very easy and it probably took me about 5 minutes from opening the box to having the nest box fully functional.
