Our kitchen sink needs more light and there is a fire sprinkler on the ceiling which is too close to where you need the light so recessed light was not an option. Using a ceiling hook, this light hangs below the sprinkler and illuminates the work area below. We found a nice glass bowl for him at Home Depot. The cream-colored frame isn't a problem for us and certainly doesn't stand out because the light sits high up. I routed the cord along the ceiling/wall and next to the closet to the nearest outlet. The walls and closet are white so the cable is barely visible.
