Works great I have a herniated L4 L5 disc. This chair was recommended to me by a back specialist. First I bought a non-rocking one for work (it has four wheels). It's the wrong incline when kneeling and after a while my knees start to hurt. I bought it for the home because it's an old style rocking chair. I like this function very much. This is the old style that made the lap chair famous. I sit in my living room and watch TV. With a herniated disc, this is much more comfortable than lounging on the couch. The padding is thick and much lighter on the knees. Swinging allows gravity to tip you into the correct proportions, so your back is straight and your knees are correct. It's a hundred times better than the one I have at work. My adult children tried to take it home. I tell them to go their own way, this is mine.
