NOT one size fits all

This chair should be designed to be comfortable for someone much taller than me. At 5ft 3in and 135lbs I can barely squat on the edge with all my weight on my knees (either touching the shin and my A55 doesn't reach the seat). Also, the leg rests are so far apart that it looks like a birthing chair on my frame. For my sciatica, the position it twists me into is worse than in a regular chair. My partner, a not huge 5ft 10", fits much better. The foam, metal tubes and black material have the…

Great for your hips but not good for your knees

I've had this chair for about 8 months now. I walk between this and the bar table several times a day. I would say I sit in it about 3-6 hours a day. It's definitely great for any hip issues and keeps me in pretty good posture. None of the hip problems I've had before (from sitting in a regular office chair). Unfortunately, my knees and shins hurt a lot. In fact, it's quite painful to use at the moment. If the padding were softer, maybe that wouldn't be a problem. Now I sit on it like a normal…

Rockers are better than wheels

Works great I have a herniated L4 L5 disc. This chair was recommended to me by a back specialist. First I bought a non-rocking one for work (it has four wheels). It's the wrong incline when kneeling and after a while my knees start to hurt. I bought it for the home because it's an old style rocking chair. I like this function very much. This is the old style that made the lap chair famous. I sit in my living room and watch TV. With a herniated disc, this is much more comfortable than lounging…

Cheaply made, easily broken

I liked this chair. I'm 5ft 10", 180lbs and it has worked for my arthritic back pain related to spina bifida but after only 2 months one of the metal rods broke leaving dangerous jagged edges and making the chair unstable. Back then I just sat in it and never overloaded or overstrained the chair. I tried contacting the seller to see if they offer a replacement part but all I could get was a Revain rep saying the product didn't meet the requirements. I think that's why Revain is asking you to…

Cons
  • No instructions

Exactly what I was looking for! I am a very active person and at work I sit in a chair all day which causes severe back pain. There is also more sitting on the way to work. I was initially a bit skeptical about buying a chair, but I had to try something different before I could live out the rest of my life as a hunchback. This chair has almost completely eliminated my lower back pain because it uses different muscles and your core for better posture. You'll need to change your position…

Great chair for posture and comfort

I've had several other lap chairs so thought I knew what to expect from this one. My biggest complaint about others was that after sitting for a long time, I noticed that I was uncomfortable and my posture started to slip. Rocking legs on it completely changed the situation. I can now make small adjustments quickly and easily, and it has improved the overall experience. I can sit comfortably for much longer. In addition, the padding is exceptional. Many other lap chairs use half as much as this

Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Designed for someone who is about 6ft tall

I chose this chair over a stationary chair for two reasons: (1) it looks way cooler and (2) I liked the idea of toning the core muscles swing / activate. I saw some reviews saying they were too short for this chair but figured I'd be fine as I'm 5ft 7in. However, I find that there is too much space between the seat bottom and the knee pads - this forces you to sit further forward in the seat, which puts too much strain on your shins. The knee pads are nice and thick, but not enough to prevent…
