I like it! - Seatposts

If you are a young mountain hot rod rider, downhill enthusiast or competition lover, this post is not for you. A handlebar-mounted, cable-operated seatpost is exactly what you need. But you guys and gals already know that. If, like me, you're older and prefer a higher pedaling seat height but find it uncomfortable in tight or slow-speed situations where you can't easily put your foot on the ground, this option works great. To adjust it, you need to crawl under the seat's speaker. That means you don't want to take your hand off the wheel to do this in a panic situation. However, if you're traveling at a reasonable speed and know where you're going, you can lower it slightly in situations where you might need to stop suddenly, or in heavy foot traffic or when crossing a stream on a field road. There's a lot of that here. I ride an e-bike with pretty heavy, fat tires. It's a bit high for my 30-inch inseam, especially with the fixed seat height. This seat post makes it easier to get on and off the bike. this raises it 1.5 inches. Didn't measure it. Adjusting during a 20 mile or so ride is just wonderful for the legs. Too low a seat height kills my hips when pedaling. , at intersections, etc. By the way, for those who do not know how they work? It's like an office chair. Pull the lever into the chair with your butt and it will fall. Without leaning on the seat, pull the lever, it rises to the maximum.
