Bottom line I returned it. Can't tell if it's working properly or not. I didn't even try when I got it. I'm giving it 3 stars because it's probably a good product for some people and not for others. The problem for me was how it works. So let's first assume that in the picture one of them showed an open and a closed connector cover. To me, that means you can choose whichever option you want. Well, to make it work like that, it had to be partially disassembled and the spring removed. This thing actually has springs on the sliding lids that force the lid to close when not in use. (No, I didn't disassemble it, it comes with the front cover removed for assembly). I did not want that. I think maybe the spring could be removed to prevent this. Problem is, does it stay closed when you want it with the compression spring missing? If it had side springs just to create resistance that would be fine and would hold the lid in place. But no, these are coils, and press the cover. Anyway, if you like the idea of auto-closing lids, go for it. If you want it to stay open until it's ready to close, this isn't for you.
