I like these. they are sturdy and now that I have my desk up, they work quite well. BUT the installation was difficult. The problem is a design flaw with the two sliding buttresses (that hold most of the weight when extended) are very close to one another not letting you to get a drill, cordless screwdriver or a manual screw driver in between them. I assume all similar products on amazon will have this problem unless they plan for holes on the top bar so you can drill the screws into the wall when the brackets are collapsed. So I had to invest another ten bucks to get a drill bit extension and a 6" #2 drill bit to be able to get the top screw into the wall. The top screw is the most important one so you do not want to skip it or use a nail. (Not that nailing it in would be any easier).And anyone who has used a long bit knows how hard it is to maneuver it and as you can see from my photos I did a bit of damage to the wall.finally you need to use longer and stronger screws so you can grab a wood stud in the wall (unless you have masonry walls).but now that its done, it works so still four stars.
