Pros and cons

I've been using fiberglass resin for about 12 years and clear resin for small projects: dime tables, display models, etc. I bought this stamp for a Halloween display that I'm working on, to mix up some of the glowing powder I had. I'm happy with the results, but another product would suit me a little better. Advantages: 1. Almost odorless. Wonderful. I made it in the kitchen, my wife didn't notice the smell. I never use resin indoors because I don't want my family to hate me or have brain problems. This is great for indoors.2. It mixes, flows and levels very well.3. Totally clean and the best I've ever used in terms of bubbles. I preheated both bottles in hot tap water, mixed quickly with an epoxy mixer (makes tons of bubbles), and although it had little frothy lines on settling, I just breathed (CO2) on them and they dissolved. I've used a heat gun to remove 3 individual bubbles after 10 minutes and a toothpick 2 more after 30 minutes, which brings me to the cons, or rather the cons. Cons: 1. My god business hours. I mixed and poured, ready in less than 5 minutes. After 45 minutes it was still liquid. I deal with a 5-10 minute working time on fiberglass and the last penny table I made wasn't sticky after 20 minutes. 3 hours later this product was still sticky. He has already caught small flakes of air. I had to seal it with plastic for 24 hours.2. This is not a resin to mix with powder if you expect it to stay in suspension. Suspended matter requires a short exposure time. I made 1/2 oz of powder into 8 oz of mixed resin. It was thoroughly mixed and had a milky tint when poured. This powder settled to the bottom of the resin within 10 minutes. This is not a problem for my project but can be for common uses like jewelry. If it is to be used in a bar or large establishment where you require a glass surface, be prepared to plastic coat or polish it after a week. It's like a lint roller. If you're new to using resin or nervous about trying it for the first time, this one is great for learning or working indoors. This is idiot protection. For larger projects I would either try to use more hardener in the mix or plan to coat it in the spray booth or use a more suitable product for that.

Pros
  • pouring and pouring
Cons
  • boring packaging

The only scratching was across the top and I didnโ€™t feel like sanding the deep scratches away
