I was in dire need of a quality grill press to make delicious smashburgers. The spatula I used wasn't big enough to cover the entire patty when trying to shred the meatballs on the grill. Round grid presses and cast iron presses were also not a good option. I found this Warmodern Square Stainless Steel Grill Press and decided to give it a try. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. It was thicker than I expected and the finish was excellent. But the most important thing for me was how it works. Good. He crushed perfectly round meatballs. The stainless steel kept it from sticking to the meat. Because I was able to mash the burgers so thin, I was able to get the maximum browning of the burgers. To make a truly great smashburger, you need to sear (80/20, of course) as much of that flavorful, crunchy burger meat as you can. The Warmodern Grill Press made it possible. I have no doubt that this grill press is also great for grilling other types of meat: bacon, chicken and steaks. I cannot recommend this stainless steel grill press highly enough. Finally.
