Not a weight, but a press. I like that it's smooth. I don't want my burgers to have grill lines or waffle patterns on them. Combined with parchment to keep meat from sticking to it, it's perfect for my use. I would be happy if it cost a little less, but it is.

I think mine is broken! Came straight out of the box with the handle torn off. To update. The company contacted me the day after my review and wanted to fix the problem by sending me a replacement. It came quickly and appears to be very durable. Haven't used it yet but I doubt there will be any problems.

I bought two to cook bacon in a 12" pan. They overlap to fit the pan and the strips of bacon stay flat. needed to make panini but you can of course use it to press on it. I don't like using it for hamburgers. I like that it's one piece, there aren't any parts to come loose so it's easy to clean.

This press is great for smashburgers. It is easy to clean as there are no crevices for food to get stuck. The size is sufficient and it seems that it will last a long time. Update: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I repeat: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It is actually defective and is only welded to the top of the handle, not the bottom where pressure is applied. I was specifically looking for a flat and smooth burger press. Rivets are good but difficult to use for other products. We can use this for hamburgers, meat, vegetables, fruit and even for pressing dough. All made of stainless steel and very easy to clean. When my husband used it for the first time, the pen broke. Hmmm. He glued it back on, but we'll see how much pressure it holds next time it frys. I was disappointed to say the least. Sorry I posted a review for this product on my husband's account when I actually ordered it. I will now post a review from my account. I really wanted this item to be usable with my new Blackstone. Received the item today, took it out of the packaging and immediately put it in the sink with warm water and soap to wash when the handle came off.
