Review on πŸ”§ Lisle 28100 Torque Angle Gauge by James Salem

Not quite happy with wrenches

Another tool that could have been made a lot better for the price. Pros: Sturdy 1/2" drive, flexible mounting arm with clip-on end. Cons: Poor production. Quality, sloppy detail tolerances, VERY hard to see the shiny "silver" scale. First of all the degree scale is off-centre and while not that critical in practice it shows poor craftsmanship and basically something Lyle doesn't care about his customers The scale reflects light making it VERY difficult to measure accurately see where the pointer is (cheap spring pen) - in fact the graduated scale should be flat WHITE for better visibility, and I didn't find any hot water here, but Lyle could very well be. This goniometer consists of parts with very rough tolerances. I am a mechanical engineer and I can assure you that such crude and ugly fabrication is not required for this tool to work reliably and can be economically manufactured. If I knew what the build quality of this tool was like I would make my own. But then again, most of the reviewers here are pretty happy with what they're getting, so I have to be one of the few who care about the quality of "Made in the USA" products.
