Decent LED trailer lights

Bought this kit to replace the original bulbs on my 1987 Tomco boat trailer. The previous owner did a hack job on the wiring harness so he wanted to replace it and figured I could use the LED lights at the same time. Upon opening the box, the taillights and side markers look pretty good, but the wiring harness is very light for my liking due to the use of very thin strands of wire. I also found that the flat 4 pin connector on the trailer side is quite cheaply made and doesn't fit the flat 4 pin to 7 pin adapter my car requires. Anyway, the installation was pretty easy and took about 1.5 hours to fish out the new wiring harness with the old one. I soldered and used heat shrink tubing to connect the taillights. The side markers required drilling four mounting screw holes (2 for each side marker) instead of the single mounting hole of the old side markers. Also for the side markings you need self-tapping screws for the ground cable, which were not included in the kit. Luckily I had a little without going to the hardware store. The instructions that came with it were pretty basic and didn't really need to be consulted for installation. When I was done, I parked my car on a trailer to try out the new headlights. At first the taillights worked for me but not the side markers so I fiddled with the spade 4 and used some dielectric grease and one side marker worked and the other didn't. Plan troubleshooting to see what the problem might be. I took the boat to the lake today and the headlights coped well with the water and worked great on the way home. Time will tell if repeatedly submerging a trailer in water while reversing will affect this set of trailer lights.
