I'VE RUN SO MANY HOLDERS THAT THEY ARE NOT SHOWN! This one is very strong! I'm pretty sure the protective liners will fail long before the metal fails. When I first got this I couldn't figure out how to get it all the way out which drove me a little crazy. There is a lock/release button on the back, you just have to pry it up and it pops out all the way. I'll show you how in the attached video. It's a slim mount, so you can't fit a large, bulky case. iPad and make sure that the protective films you have attached do not detach from the surface of your iPad. I have an Amazon Basics tripod and it allows me to use it as an easel for my iPad. You can mount it either "properly" on the back or portrait, so your iPad stays secure. Fantastic product, not disappointed at all!
