I only bought this because I had to cut a few screws shorter than they were for making a custom wardrobe with closet pulls. It worked pretty well until I found out the screws on the back would press against the wall. Oops, a serious oversight. So I googled how people do it all the time when the screws are sticking out that much and found that yes you can trim them and it's actually very easy. All you need is one of these tools. They have built-in cutters of various sizes that allow you to cut very thick screws with almost no effort. I was blown away by how well it works. Of course yes, it grazes and cuts wires and does a bunch of other things that I have no idea what it's for or how to use it. But for the simple reason that screws needed to be cut, this was a cheap and great way to do it quickly and cleanly. No metal shavings from cutting, just a crackle and the end of the screw came loose. And that ensures it stays threaded and doesn't pinch, so you can still put a nut on it. Brilliant product at a great price. Highly recommended.
