Bought the boat a week before holiday and came back to find it was fake. Looks like they put a grinder on the side panel to gain access to the locking mechanism and couldn't. There are also a few tiny nicks on the temple where they tried to pry open and cut. The lock held up well and for $30 it was money well spent. Not sure how burglar proof it is but any thief trying to steal the boat and trailer is dumb enough that this lock is a bit overkill for people with negative IQ. I'm just glad they failed miserably. I will definitely consider getting security cameras soon.
