Excellent blade protection.
Perfectly fits my 8.5 inch Shun Santouko knife. It also held up very well in the dishwasher. I just let it dry completely before placing it on the blade. I've always been a fan of this line and for the price you can't beat it. It pays to have good protection for your knives. I will buy a few more for my other steel.
