Bought this to wear with some dresses to show off my waist better. I checked out all of these great reviews and given the elasticity, I had high hopes that this would work for me. I'm plus size and it's just not a good price for me or something I would actually wear despite trying. My hip and natural waist measurements are the same, but cinching a belt around my high waist instead of my natural waist makes some of the dresses much more flattering. It's very cute, I really like the look here, but there are some design issues when it comes to the plus size fit. The belt stretches slightly and fits my 46 measurements on my high waist with no problem. However, it takes some fiddling to assemble the buckle as my bust size is in the way and I can't see what I'm doing. Filigree metal accents are literally screwed into the faux leather on the back. All screws are completely uneven and will cut in with prolonged wear. Not a very convenient solution, to put it mildly. The seams in the place where the buckle is attached to the belt itself are not entirely reliable, some threads are much weaker than others. When nothing is attached to the buckle to counterbalance the weight of the metal inserts, that's when the problems begin. Instead of emphasizing the waist, the belt begins to fold in on itself. Essentially hiding a beautiful design and creating an awkward look no matter what type of dress I'm wearing. I don't think it needs a complete redesign. I really think it needs some kind of bone or similar structure for it to hold its shape when worn for those of us who are taller. I do not recommend for large sizes. If you are a small size or have a really flat stomach then this might suit you well. If you are a plus size like me, keep looking dear, there is a good option but this is not the right one. I've literally always tried this on with different outfits to get it working, never worn it for long and bits of faux leather were already falling off the buckle end of the strap.
