very bad connection in the plug

If the cables were plugged in all the way and the screws were tightened, there was no voltage, checked the plug, there was voltage. In the end, voltage went deep into the connector, the wires went into the van while I was doing all this frustrating troubleshooting, and the locking ring fell into a gap in the bodywork. Take something else, I still wouldn't feel safe with such a delicate connection, it's just metal plugs and screws, the screws didn't even register voltage.

  • The list will be long.

The wiring is color coded and it looks like a great quality product

Added a single outlet to my van to power the small air conditioner in my van. This inlet was very easy to install with a lock nut. The wiring is color coded and looks like a great quality product. I just installed today. I ordered a 1-7/8" Vulcan Bi-Metal Hole Saw to cut my hole and it worked great. The anchor also has three small screw options to fit thicker walls Updating in the next few months or years means I'm very happy with the product. One of my main concerns will be how well the "UV…

Installed on a van Electronics

Installed on my van. Use a 1 7/8 to 2 inch hole. Very well done. The gold screw connects to the hot (red or black) wire. The silver screw connects to the neutral (white) wire and the green screw connects to the ground (green) wire. secured with a large nut and washer. No screws are required to hold it. It's about 2 1/2 to 3 inches deep and protrudes into your wall by that amount minus the thickness of your wall. When you mount it to a metal trailer or car wall, it sticks out a full 2 1/2 to 3…

Great addition to an RV for extra heating/air.

I added this to our camper van so we could use the extra air conditioning in the summer and the electric heater in cold weather without flipping the switch. Installation was easy and only took about 20 minutes using a Lenox Tools 1772778 1-7/8" 30A Bi-Metal Hole Saw, also from Revain. A hole saw of this diameter is almost impossible to find commercially, so I recommend buying it at the same time as the manhole. During that time I 1) cut and installed a hole for the outlet, 2) used a hole saw to

Reliable, high quality and easy to install

I was pleased with the overall quality of this power supply. The setting diameter was similar to the commercially available hole saw size. Terminations that accept the wire allow for easy tightening = no problem termination. I liked it, it's hard to find quality in those aspects these days, but I have to say it was well done. Impressed. As for the inlet, it easily accepts ordinary extension plug ends, no hindrance, I can insert the entire end of the plug directly into the inlet for a tight…

The rest of the input works great. It's well done and fairly simple.

I used this power input on my router table cabinet I installed the extension from. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the ground pin is a bit too big and makes it difficult to plug some extension cords into it. Some extension cords connect properly, but some are very difficult to connect to this input because of the ground pin. The rest of the input works great. It is well made and fairly easy to connect and install. Comes with a gasket to prevent water ingress. There are 2…

Very comfortable on the closed milling table

Good start. I installed it in my router bread box. With this input connected to an external switch and an internal outlet, I can manage the power supply to my router without opening the router table. It is very easy to connect the power supply with any extension cord. Installation was easy in 3/4" thick lumber. I am very grateful to other reviewers who mentioned the need for a 1-7/8" hole saw. I used Milwaukee 49-56. -0112 1-7/ 8" ice hardened hole saw that was the right size and tight fit. On…

Power Consumption (Marine)

Product arrived in good condition and on time with no problems. I purchased this item to provide a standard 120/115V power supply for a cabin cruiser boat restoration project. This product fits the bill well. The hinged lid makes it ideal for marine applications, and the same lid also serves as a very secure and watertight seal between the mounting surface and the power inlet, which is a HUGE plus for rainy days at sea. However, I put some sealant on it to be on the safe side. The electric pens
