Installed on my van. Use a 1 7/8 to 2 inch hole. Very well done. The gold screw connects to the hot (red or black) wire. The silver screw connects to the neutral (white) wire and the green screw connects to the ground (green) wire. secured with a large nut and washer. No screws are required to hold it. It's about 2 1/2 to 3 inches deep and protrudes into your wall by that amount minus the thickness of your wall. When you mount it to a metal trailer or car wall, it sticks out a full 2 1/2 to 3 inches. Need some silicone on the outside to keep it waterproof. Apply silicone around the hole as you insert it. Surplus can be deleted after installation is complete. You will need access to the back of the fork to install the large nut that secures it. It's easier to connect the wires before inserting them into the hole.
