I used this on my 4" sander and the first use took about 20 seconds before half the serrated lock washer came loose. If they even lightly touch the edge of the workpiece, they'll grab and snap the wheel. They might be fine for simple flat work in the middle of flat metal, but anything near the edge won't work.
