I have to write this review for people with wide feet. I loved my Altra's Timp 1.5 so much that I wanted to fall in love with another Altra shoe, maybe a more casual pair for long walks around town. You probably already know that Altra shoes are well cushioned and non-slip. It was everything I wanted and I was hoping the Torin 5 would fit. I ordered Torins the same size as my old Timp's (11) but wide. I was expecting a wide toe box and comfort like the Timp. But I tried on Torinsky and immediately felt uncomfortable. In Torin 5 my wide feet were claustrophobic. It felt like the shoes were too small or my feet too fat! The edges of my feet were flattened in the boot. Also, the toe height felt too flat like the shoe was pushing my foot from above. In short, the Torin 5 felt cramped due to the width and depth of the shoebox. But the shoes looked nice, were light and had a (seemingly) durable appearance. I sent these shoes back. My search for a replacement for Timp 1.5 continues.
