Let me first say that I am not a professional artist. All my life I have created in different mediums. I recently decided to get acquainted with watercolor paints again. I had a set, student quality (Loew-Cornell set 36 colors). The colors in this set are muted and dry slightly chalky and may fade slightly. Not bad if you want a rustic look, which is good for a project I'm working on. But I needed a watercolor set with clearer colors and a bolder pink. This set really surprised me. Colors are clear and real. They are almost like gouache in that they can be completely opaque with very little paint. but with a touch of additional water they then become slightly transparent. Exactly what I was looking for.
