Review on Dorman 902 219 Radiator Fan Resistor by Michael Bustamante

Fixed an overheating problem in my 2002 Ford Focus ZTW station wagon

Focus was overheating in traffic with the A/C off. Several youtube videos showed that replacing this part fixed the problem and they were right. A simple 5 minute job to replace the resistor assembly yourself. It's easy to cut off the old damaged connector at the very end of the wire harness. The big challenge is working with the small short wires in the wire harness (Ford made them long enough to reach the resistor assembly), stripping the ends and crimping the wire connectors. They ended up using a pair of Scotch Lock connectors (12/10 gauge) instead of the crimp types included in the kit, which were a lot easier to work with in tight spaces and with wire connectors - no need to strip wires and no wires to be exact to Crimping held Problem solved Heatsink fans turn on when needed Everything you need is included in the kit but I would recommend using other wire connectors to make the job quicker and easier.
