Review on RX WELD Argon/CO2 Mig Tig Flow Meter Gas Regulator Gauge for Welding with Gas Hose by Anthony Robichaud

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Seems to work well for welders and accessories

I only used the controller once, but it was enough. Includes brass hose adapter and rubber O-ring. The adapter has a clear purpose but no O-ring. There was no obvious place to use it so I took the SWAG and used it on the regulator to connect the hose. So far, so good. I will also note that the threads between the regulator and the tank valve and the threads between the hose and the welder seem to be slightly larger. This made me worried about crossing the threads, but there was too much interference between the male and female threads to manually tighten the joint the way I wanted. Once I started, I had to use a wrench to snugly tighten the joint and then fully tighten it. So far so good again. A sight glass/ball counter is more reliable in my opinion as it doesn't rely on springs or other parts of the metering mechanism. It's just a matter of gravity combined with the size of the ball and the device's gas port. Let's hope it's reliable. If there is one serious drawback, it is an obvious weakness of the flow meter's plastic tube, as it can easily break if the material is mishandled in a crowded shop.

Pros
  • 4. OUTLET: Fits both 9/16" x 18" female nut and 5/8" x 18" male fitting.
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
