Review on OLOy DDR4 RAM 16GB (1X16GB) 2666 MHz CL16 1 by Jason Caldwell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Built in support for 2666MHz with no memory overclocking

I bought these after finding a defective DIMM chip on arrival from a reputable memory manufacturer (see my other reviews to see which brand) I chose from a new PC build (2020 gigabyte motherboard, 2020 Intel processor). Brand memory showed up as 2400MHz memory in my BIOS. I had to enable the memory overclocking feature for the brand name to show up and work as sold (2666MHz). I returned/replaced a branded memory with this brand due to a dead DIMM chip. A) Both chips worked immediately, unlike the famous brand. B) I didn't have to enable overclocking in my BIOS for them to show up and run at 2666MHz as listed. And no, I didn't just leave memory overclocking enabled. I turned it off before removing the other chips. This other memory should be marketed as "can reach 2666MHz with overclocking" - this OLOy memory will be recognized and will run at 2666MHz without overclocking. Quality product at a reasonable price.
