Having extra USB ports was very handy. I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs extra USB ports for their laptop. Mine only has two. I have a wireless mouse hooked up to one, then I need space to plug in a small flash drive and portable backup hard drive while I work on uploading my digital images. It helps so I don't have to remove the mouse. I like on/off switches for each plug. The only minor complaint I have is that the cord is too short and not very flexible. I often use my laptop on a small TV stand and barely have enough room to plug in a 4-port hub so it stays behind my laptop on the stand and doesn't fall over if I hit the stand. If the cable was a little longer and more flexible, I could easily place it farther behind the computer where it would be more secure. Other than that, this 4-port hub was very useful. Many Thanks.
