Did what my sewing machine couldn't

My wife and I just used 17 packages of this material to make 6-58 x 96 and 6-58 x 84 inch thick panels of eyelet duck fabric. Her old Necchi Alco sewing machine couldn't handle the weight and length of the heavy canvas, although she never had a problem with shorter curtains. With 6 x 6-8 foot windows and a sewing machine that took over an hour to sew a side seam despite numerous repairs due to jams and broken needles, she ordered a package to see if it would work. It was done with honor. It was used to add a piece to the bottom of a 96" panel to create a perfect double 4" edge. It was used to join 2 pieces of 58" x 84" fabric. First we used a damp blanket on the top and bottom. But we ended up just using our Rowenta for lingerie/big couples and it worked great. The curtains look amazing and we couldn't be more excited. It's almost unbelievable that any iron product can get the job done. As a lifelong clown who would never have considered using hot melt glue instead of sewing, I'm on the mend. so that any iron product can cope with this task.
