Due to the aging of cars, I found it necessary to buy a code reader. This reader has a really good big screen and the cable easily extends to the on-board socket in the car. The case it comes in is good, it holds all the cables and definitely protects the product. This code reader does as much as any expensive ones for a fraction of the cost. I plugged it in right away because my wife's car battery was having trouble. It immediately took a reading of the volts from the battery. A very good feature. The bottom line is if you want to save time and money, this product will do both.
