Review on Husky Liners 98991 Weatherbeater Front & 2nd Seat πŸš— Floor Mats, Black for 2016-2020 Toyota Prius & Prius Prime by Kirt Phillips

Fits my 2021 Prius XLE e-AWD better than my old Weathertechs or OEM Toyota

First of all they fit in my 2021 Prius XLE e-AWD like a glove box, although the description now only lists 2016-2020. So I've been a fan of Weathertech for a very long time (20 years) and bought them on a number of cars (2 Camrys, 2 Prius, 1 Highlander, 1 Audi A4). This time I decided to try the Husky earbuds as they are much cheaper and I've heard complaints about Weathertech's degradation in quality. In comparison, the Weathertechs are much tougher than the Husky. The Husky feel a bit thinner but much more pliable (but still fairly stiff), with the difference being that they're more fun to put in a car. In terms of coverage, my experience has been that even within the Weathertech family, overall coverage and bead heights vary by model. I replaced Toyota's factory all-weather liners, which seem almost mandatory on electronically powered models. I am very happy with the coverage of the Husky front liners, much better than the Toyota OEM liners and about the same as my old Weathertechs in my previous generation Prius. As for the backs, the coverage is better compared to the Weathertechs, especially since the Weathertech backs often don't have a leading edge (which doesn't really keep liquids on the mat). Compared to the OEM liners, the guides on the OEM liners are slightly higher, but the Husky has the center tunnel closed (one-piece mat instead of two small Toyota mats). In fact, I can just put my OEM floor mats on top of the rear cowling (never with driver's floor mats, btw). Overall I think they are better than OEM pads and about the same as Weathertech's (slightly thinner but easier to get in and out of the car). The great value is that they cost about half the price of Weathertech or Toyota liners, which makes them a winner in my opinion.
