Review on ๐Ÿ’ป Intel Core i7-8700 Desktop Processor: 6 Core, Up to 4.6 GHz, LGA 1151 300 Series, 65W Power Consumption by Stanislaw Wysocki แ Œ

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nothing special, there are positives and negatives.

Like everyone wanted to reset the operating temperature. There is only one way out - to remove the cover and change the factory snot to ZhM. Before scalping, the temperature in AIDA 64 CPU stress test was 75 degrees. What was my disappointment when, after the scalp, I did not get the desired result. Temperatures dropped by about 10-12 degrees! After re-scalping (more ZhM) and downvolting, I got minus a miserable 15 degrees! That is, now I have 46-47 degrees in idle, under load in games and stress test CPU AIDA 64 is about 60 degrees (+/- 3 degrees). During the stress test CPU + FPU 76 degrees. Everything under water from Dipkul Captain 240. Here I sit thinking about whom to sin - either Intel let me down, or Dipkul.

Pros
  • A very productive contraption with a very moderate power consumption. With all the shortcomings, the thing is good.
Cons
  • - Price. Although I still bought it profitably in May from the Germans for about 22 - Thermal snot instead of solder under the lid. - Jumps in temperature and CPU load. Sometimes, when you open a page in the browser, the load on the processor jumps sharply and does not go away until you refresh the page. - Working temperatures do not suit me, but more in the comments.
