Review on πŸ” GXG-1987 AS8700A Handheld Carbon Monoxide Meter: High Accuracy 0-1000PPM CO Gas Detector with LCD Backlit Display - Yellow by Jason Bolden

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great value for money - but make sure the resistor values you want are included.

I love this set. Note, however, that not all of the default values that you may need are included. For example, there are no 1.8k, 2.7k, 18k, or 27k values. And some other common ones are missing. But the price is surprisingly cheap and you can buy a more complete set elsewhere if you need it. And as others have noted, the values are correct, for the most part within 1% of my measurements. The resistors are marked with 5 colored bands so make sure you know how to read them or you will need an ohmmeter nearby when using them. The resistive strips have handwritten lettering that is sometimes difficult to read. Again, have an ohmmeter handy! I sorted the resistors by decade (e.g. 1kOhm - 8.2kOhm, 10kOhm - 82kOhm, etc.) and put them in ziplock bags so I can find what I need faster. Pros: Very cheap. Typical error < 1%. Cons: Difficult to read labels. Leashes of soft metal (but quite suitable).
