Review on Dorman Ambient Air Temperature Sensor 902-020 for BMW Models – Enhanced SEO by Richard Sallah

Dorman 902-020, remember!

Back in October 2012 I broke the ambient temperature sensor on my '00 528i while driving on a patch of tire on the freeway on my way to work and although I didn't know what happened to this one Morning I found out it was on the way home the same day when the heat really set in and my air con wasn't working. Needless to say I was skeptical about purchasing this item, as with most things I think you really just need to stop thinking about things and decide what you want to do. After reading several reviews and posts on internet forums I decided to buy it as the Texas heat was really starting to take its toll on me. I'm the type of person that doesn't even change my oil, I take it to the store but when I leave work usually all the stores are closed and also I figured that eventually I would get dirty arms. . I went back and poked around the forum one last time, went outside armed only with a couple of wire cutters, my outlet set to disconnect the battery wire as lack of experience and channel didn't tell me the possible damage would see tape of course. After about 10 minutes I taped the wires and moved the sensor so it was secure and reconnected the battery wire and I got my car up for the first time in almost 9 months with a very missed +96 on my display instead of - 40 and cold air started . That was probably as handy as changing my own headlights not too long ago, and that's enough for a while. The product, which is boxed and contains all the items advertised, does what it is supposed to do and is relatively easy to install, even for an inexperienced person. GREAT!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
